    Description

Overwhelming doubt. Failed experiments. Crushing setbacks.

These McGovern students, postdocs, and staff have experienced (and overcome) it all. Join us as seven McGovern storytellers share true, personal stories of grit, perseverance, and resilience.

    WATCH THE STORY SLAM

    Thursday, Nov 12, 2020 | 5:00pm EST

Hosted by MITell’s Kirsty Bennett, and featuring stories by Dipon Ghosh, Kristy Johnson, Heather Kosakowski, Jill Crittenden, Mahdi Ramadan, Shannon Johnson, and Ola Ozernov-Palchik, this special virtual event marks the first ever storytelling competition at the McGovern Institute. Stories will be judged by Madeline Sofia, host of Shortwave, NPR’s daily science podcast, and Tina Hesman Saey, senior editor of Science News.

So get your popcorn ready, and tune in at 5pm EST on November 12th to cheer on your favorite McGovern storyteller from the comfort of your own living room!
