Colloquium on the Brain and Cognition with Dr. Ben Hayden
Description
Speaker: Dr. Ben Hayden, University of Minnesota
The Neuroscience of Naturalistic Decisions
The premise of our laboratory is that, when seeking to understand the neuroscience of decision-making, naturalness provides an essential ground truth. Making things more natural imposes certain costs and requires the development of novel methods, novel analysis approaches, and novel ways of thinking about data. I will describe our lab's recent ventures into more naturalistic tasks, and delve into the pros and cons of this approach.
