BOOST Meeting: Version control with GitHub for reproducible research: practical examples
Description
Description: In the March BOOST session, we covered the very basics of how to work with Git. In this session, he will continue the discussion and dive into practical examples of how to use Git in your day-to-day research workflows, for collaborating with others, and to share your work with the general public. (pizza provided)
Background needed: Prior experience with Git is encouraged but not required. This is a hands-on session, so please bring your laptop.
If you missed the introductory session, you should still get a lot out of this tutorial. Support material and resources for both sessions is available at https://github.mit.edu/prevosto/BOOST, under "Git_version_control".
Space is limited. Please register in advance on the BOOST web portal.
