    Description

The Sustainable Transformation of Institutional Research Rigor (STIRR) Initiative is a newly launched, collaborative effort between MIT BCS and the Center for Open Science that will use a systems-change approach to assess and address obstacles to rigorous and transparent neuroscientific research in the department.

Please join us for talks from STIRR-funded BCS graduate students as well as presentation of travel awards for early career-researchers who have participated in behaviors that support open and transparent science.

    Speakers:

Jack Gabel, An Open-source Microdrive System for Large-scale Neuropixels Recording

Greggory Heller, A Human-Readable, Analysis-Ready Intermediate Format for Neurophysiology Data

Huidi Li, Standardizing and simplifying data sharing and analysis for cognitive neurophysiology

Sadie Zacharek, Extending the utility of human neurimaging data with open science practices

    Lunch will be served.
