    Description

    Please join us for the 2015 Annual BCS Community Harbor Cruise as we welcome the Graduate Student Class of 2015. This is a special community kick-off event open to faculty, grad students, postdocs, and staff (sorry no friends, family or pets) affiliated with the BCS community. Boarding begins at 2:00PM, departing promptly at 2:30PM and returns to Rowes Wharf at 5PM. Lunch will be served.

    Sponsored by BCS, MIBR, and PILM.  This 21+ event is limited to grad students, researchers, staff, and faculty in the BCS community.

    FAQ

    Is there an enforced dress code?
    No. The weather can be unpredictable on the water so bring a sweater in case it's chilly.

    Do I need to bring any form of identification?
    Yes. Alcoholic beverages are available. If you are 21 or older and wish to partake you must bring a government issued ID to be served.

    Public Transportation
    Directions from Kendall Square/MIT to BCS Community Harbor Cruise at 60 Rowes Wharf, Boston Walk to Kendall/MIT Station
    Take red line subway inbound towards Ashmont 4 stops to South Station Head northwest on Summer Street and turn right onto Atlantic Avenue Proceed on Atlantic Avenue to 60 Rowes Wharf. Destination is 0.4 miles ahead on the right Driving Directions to Rowes Wharf: From Points North: Take Route 93 (or Route 1 to Route 93) Southbound. Take Exit 23 (Purchase Street/South Station) exit. Stay in left lane and bear left turning left immediately onto Atlantic Avenue. Stay straight on Atlantic Avenue following the signs for Rowes Wharf and the Boston Harbor Hotel. Rowes Wharf is located on your right.

    From Points South and West: Drivers coming into Boston on the new I-93 Northbound Expressway should take Exit 20 (I-90/South Station) to South Station and then proceed northerly up Atlantic Avenue. Rowes Wharf will be on your right. Drivers coming into Boston on the Masspike (I-90) Eastbound should take Exit 24A to South Station and then proceed northerly up Atlantic Avenue. Rowes Wharf will be on your right.
