    Description

This year we are excited to launch the “Amplify BCS Event Series”, which is a monthly event to celebrate the diverse voices and contributions of groups historically underrepresented in the field of Brain & Cognitive Sciences and STEM more broadly.

The series is also designed to give members of our community an opportunity to expand their cultural awareness by exploring the lived experiences of a diverse range of groups. For our first event the series, we will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with MIT’s own Dr. Eliezer Calo (Department of Biology), whose contributions to the MIT community trace back to his participation in the MIT Summer Research Program (MSRP) in the Summer of 2005 as a visiting scholar from the University of Puerto Rico.

    Wednesday, September 29, 2021
    4:00 - 5:00 PM
    Building 46, Room 46-5165

    Please RSVP to attend: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/10qLhMBsOBLBkK34cMrR94jpBn6g-KhxRckBXAJS746Q/.
Dinner will be provided by La Fabrica Central Restaurant, a Latin-Caribbean restaurant here in Cambridge.
