BCS Spot Awards

Nominate a colleague to recognize great work and say thank you!

What is a Spot Award?

MIT Spot Appreciation Awards (“Spot Awards”) recognize exceptional contributions by individuals in our community. Spot Awards are a fantastic way to recognize great work or say thank you to someone for going above and beyond.

Who qualifies for a Spot Award?

Any member of the BCS community is eligible to both nominate and receive a Spot Award. No self-nominations will be accepted.

How do I nominate a member of the BCS community for a Spot Award?

Please use the form below to nominate someone for a Spot Award. Be sure to include a note about why you are nominating the individual for a Spot Award since all winners will receive a copy of their nomination. We will ask you to select a gift option (up to $50 value) from the below options for your Spot Award nominee. You will receive a confirmation email once your Spot Award nomination is successfully submitted. If you don't see it, check your spam/junk folder.

What do Spot Award winners receive?

  • A congratulatory email which includes a copy of the award submission
  • Nominators choose the gift option they would like to select for the nominee. Gift option choices including items from MIT COOP or the MIT Press Bookstore.

If you have questions about the BCS Spot Awards Program, contact Kim DeMayo, HR Administrator.

Nomination Form

Please choose an up to $50 value gift option for your nominee from MIT COOP (we are eligible for member pricing) or the MIT Press Bookstore. Include the link to the item here we will handle ordering for the Spot Award winner. If you need Spot Award gift option suggestions, please reach out to Kim DeMayo.
